Shipping Policy

Inktown Plants ships live plants with care so they arrive safe and healthy. Please read the details below before ordering.

Shipping Schedule

To reduce the chance of weekend delays, we typically ship Monday–Wednesday (excluding holidays). If you order later in the week, your order may ship the following week.

Processing Time

Most orders ship within 3–7 business days after purchase (not counting weekends/holidays). During new drops, sales, or holidays, processing can take longer.

You’ll receive:

  • an order confirmation after checkout

  • a tracking email once your label is created
    Delivery estimates begin once the carrier scans the package.

Packaging & Weather Safety

We package plants securely to reduce movement and protect foliage and roots. Depending on the plant and conditions, plants may ship without a pot or with reduced soil for safety.

Weather Holds: If temperatures at our location or your delivery address could harm the plant, we may delay shipping until it’s safe.

Heat packs/insulation: When available, we may add insulation and/or heat packs based on weather (if offered at checkout).

Shipping Methods & Rates

We ship via major carriers (USPS/UPS/FedEx). Rates are calculated at checkout based on your address and package weight/size.

  • Standard/Ground: typically 3–7 business days

  • Expedited (if available): typically 1–3 business days (recommended in extreme weather)

Delivery & Unboxing

Please bring your package inside as soon as possible after delivery.

Unboxing tips:

  • Unbox carefully and remove packing materials gently

  • Some shipping stress is normal (slight droop, minor cosmetic marks)

  • When possible, wait 7–14 days before repotting so the plant can acclimate

Damage, Delays & Missing Packages

Carrier delays can happen and are outside our control, but we’ll help you troubleshoot tracking.

If your plant arrives damaged: Email us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of:

  • the plant (close-ups + full plant)

  • the box (all sides if possible)

  • packing materials

  • shipping label (helpful)

Please keep the packaging until your claim/review is complete.

Note: Minor cosmetic blemishes can happen during transit and typically recover with proper care.
